1.Last night I lay a-sleeping
There came a dream so fair

I stood in old Jerusalem
Beside the temple there.

2.And then me thought my dream was changed
The streets no longer rang
随後梦境又转变
不再有街道声
Hushed were the glad Hosannas
The little children sang.
我不再听见孩童们欢唱着和散那；
The sun grew dark with mystery
The morn was cold and chill
日头忽然变成黑暗
清晨寒冷无比；
As the shadow of a cross arose
Upon a lonely hill.
十字架的阴影显现
在寂寞山那边。
Jerusalem! Jerusalem!Hark! How the angels sing
请听天使歌颂
3.And once again the scene was changed;New earth there seemed to be;
又再一次情景转变
有新天地出现！
I saw the Holy City
Beside the tideless sea;
我看见天上圣城
在平静的海边；
The light of God was on its streets
The gates were open wide
上帝的光普照街市
城门大开广阔
And all who would might enter
And no one was denied.
愿意的人都可来
不要拒绝前往。
No need of moon or stars by night
Or sun to shine by day;
夜间无须月亮星辰
白昼无须日光；
It was the new Jerusalem
That would not pass away.
那就是新耶路撒冷
永远坚固长存；
